Badger Alarm & Control, Inc. provides superior monitoring solutions to support your operations by reporting on the health of your communications infrastructure. Our newest open-systems incorporate the latest SNMP compliant standards; E500 SNMP Remote Monitoring Units (e500RMU) and TrapServer.

E500RMU is a single rack spaced, DC power (20 to 60 +/- VDC with optional AC power input) unit that provides optional monitoring of contact closures, analog voltages and control outputs.  Configuration of alarm/control points is through secure access to the units WEB Browser.  Status is also available through this browser.

TrapServer offers the ability to provide alarm monitoring, consolidation and notification of alarm events from Badger remote products, namely the Badger 481 RTU, model 1785 using Badger’s proprietary protocol.  TrapServer also supports other proprietary protocols (MCS-11 used by Alcatel m/w radios and Larse; plans are being implemented to include more).  TrapServer also supports open protocols such as SNMP, ASCII, TL-1, TBOS, MODBUS and we have a library supporting many different and varying network elements. 

TrapServer is designed to “future proof” your alarm monitoring system enabling this system to adapt to various network elements as your customer’s system evolves.  Your TrapServer Proposal includes Email & Paging, SNMP forwarding AND Trouble Ticketing.

The current Badger legacy product line includes the Larse RTs and the Badger 481 Remote Terminal Units.  The Larse product line (purchased by Badger in 1993) consists of the the Larse 1200/1400 remotes, translators and protocol converters.  The Badger Remotes consist of models 1725, 1785 and 1798 remote terminal units.  Also included is the 481 Telemetry Interface.

All of our products operate within Multi-Vendor environments. Badger Alarm & Control, Inc CONTINUES to manufacture and repair of these Remote Units.
